Burnham D. Davis died at the home of Mrs. Eliza Jarvis on Sunday and was buried at Guion on Monday afternoon after funeral services conducted by Rev. S.D. Watts at the home. Mr. Davis was born in Lockport, NY June 17, 1818. He served during the Civil War in an artillery regiment. He moved here about 1881 and did construction work on the ID & W. His wife, who had been an invalid for years, died just one month before. They leave one son, Edward. Both were members of the Christian Church. -- kbz
